United States President Barack Obama declares he is ready to cooperate with opposition Republicans in the area of health care restructuring rules. However, there are indications that Democrats might be willing to proceed with the matter irrespective of Republican consent.

President Obama states he would like to cooperate on revamping the health care system and health insurance industry in the United States if the Republicans are sincere about reorganizing, however, the restructuring should move ahead.

On Saturday, Feb 27, the President was talking about the focus of his plan during his weekly Internet and radio speech. This was two days following he organized a whole day summit on this matter with both Republican and Democrat legislators.

He stated that he is interested and ready to proceed with both Democrats and Republicans on healthcare if the opposition (Republicans) is sincere regarding collaborating in settling the differences and doing it. However, he thinks that the chance shouldn’t be missed to pass this test.

Democrats might be getting ready to commence the complicated procedure of coming out with their $1 trillion, 10-year healthcare draft statute without Republican backing. It is being claimed by the Republicans that the law is trashed and legislators make a fresh start.

According to Mr. Obama, 30 million individuals who would get health insurance coverage with the Democratic program shouldn’t delay. He says now is the time to join hands and act in a sensible manner.

The spokesperson for the White House, Robert Gibbs stated that the President intends to declare a modernized health care restructuring plan in the next week, possibly on Wednesday. It was also said by Gibbs that the plan would incorporate ideas suggested by Republicans during the meeting held on Thursday.

Thomas Coburn, the Senator of Oklahoma, stated in his Republican Party speech that Democrats mustn’t proceed unaccompanied. He depicted the Democrats’ strategy as bureaucratic ploys and backroom deals.

He stated that if the legislators in Congress and Mr. Obama are sincere regarding getting into a mutual understanding, they should keep this discussion on, not discontinue it by hastening to a biased bill which the American citizens already turned down.

According to news, Coburn, who is a physician, was called by the White House following his visit to the meeting held on Thursday and interviewed about his recommendations for getting rid of scams and misuse from health insurance.

Even though his recommendations are incorporated, Tom Coburn states that he wouldn’t back the Democratic strategy. He maintained that the strategy fundamentally goes on with a government-centric outlook that has made health care costlier. State and federal governments already regulate 60% of the health care industry. If the solution is higher government expenditure and regulation, the health care industry would have resurged long back.

The United States is the only important developed country in the world that doesn’t have universal health care.
